Hello

I'm Marian

I was in my early teens when my Mum, who was a very talented seamstress, taught me to sew.  Since then the joy that comes from creating with fabrics, materials and accessories has always been a part of my life.

Whether making dresses, skirts or childrens clothing, my old Bernina Minimatic has whirred its way through all sorts of fabrics and many miles of cotton - and it's still going strong!

Lately I've been looking for ways I can use my love of sewing to help others.  As you can see from other pages on my website, I discovered Fidget Rugs.  They are so much fun to make and give some relief to many people suffering from Demenita, Alzheimers and other cognitive challenges.  The rugs keep patients' hands busy and minds relaxed and can have a calming influence on the restlessness and anxiety associated with these afflictions.  Click here for more information about these Rugs.

I donate a number of these Rugs to various institutions that can use them for their patients, with the idea that if any more are wanted, they can be purchased at a reasonable cost to offset the cost of materials.

If you would like more information or would like to purchase any of the items, my Contact details are below.
